Help Save Sea Turtles in Western Australia from Losing Their Home to an Industrial Port
The rare Australian flatback sea turtle nests on islands and beaches on the far Northwest coast of Western Australia in an incredibly remote and ancient region known as the Kimberly. Sadly, multi-national corporations in search of energy reserves and unending profits plan to ransack this area to install a huge port for ships to extract and carry Liquid Natural Gas.
Without international pressure to stop the project, the flatbacks may lose their homes forever and the Kimberlies be destroyed for good. I was there 20 years ago and still remember the red soil, bulbous boab trees and the aquamarine ocean. Even if you will never go there, your voice can make a difference.
Please go to this website to learn more and send a message to the government of Western Australia that sea turtle lovers of the world are watching!
Thank you so much!
